When I first picked up Solaris by Stanisław Lem, I expected a story about exploring an alien planet, perhaps in the vein of classic science fiction. What I found was so much more.
Solaris is a brilliant reimagining of the sci-fi genre, blending elements of science fiction and psychological horror with profound philosophical questions. The result is a refreshing, thought-provoking story that I found impossible to put down. Though not a fast-paced action novel, the intellectual depth and eerie atmosphere kept me hooked from start to finish. It's a deeply captivating read, and I highly recommend it.
